Description (Outside of Strangewarp)

They have a face, or maybe a muzzle and ears, eyes, teeth. It might be covered by a veil, or a shadow, or a buzzing cloud of moths. There’s a smile there, or is it a frown? A simple line of no expression at all? They have two arms, two legs, hands, feet, probably. Clothing is a long ragged tan coat, or maybe it’s white. Somewhere there is a tail, or maybe it’s just a longer shred of the coat.

They carry a flashlight, or a briefcase, or a strange tool. It could be a book. Yes, a book makes the most sense. The one thing you’re certain of is that this person is called The Librarian, if only because the datasphere tells you so.

Holding what they look like in your memory is difficult. You’re left with a series of impressions, ones that don’t always make sense. Hang on, what did they look like? Already you don’t remember. You start again.

They have a face, or maybe a muzzle...

Description (Inside the Library)

A somewhat thickly-built butch female otter, with brown body fur and wild reddish headfur that sticks up at all angles. She wears a snappy tan suit; tan jacket with darker elbow patches, tan slacks, white shirt with a bit of frill, and decidedly no tie. A kerchief of what looks like black latex decorated with red crosses is folded in a triangle and stuck into the jacket's upper pocket.

Her chest is somewhat flat under the shirt, and you might even catch the hint of a fur-colored binder peeking through around the neck. Across her wide muzzle spans a pair of glasses with lenses that are roughly twice the size of her eyes. She has a broad smile that still manages to look a little wild at times, an effect mostly reflected in her wide green eyes, which can focus on someone intently enough but are also prone to darting around haphazardly.

At infrequent intervals, though, not just her outfit but her entire body flickers out like a badly tuned television signal. No glimpse of what lies beneath can be remembered, but there's still something illusionary about her presentation, friendly as it is.
