The Briar Patch Minimum Insecurity Facility is inspired by the Lunarian prison system. Most inmates are captive offworlders who gave implied consent to captivity during non-lethal "recwars" with Luna. They are motivated to correct their misbehavior via electrohypnosis, tantric science, empathogenic drug therapy, spanking, tickling, painless bondage, non-consensual cuddling, and simple appeals to reason, all in the interest of "making them nice".
